ICAN HAREM . .. all eyes on one of Bali most renowned underground artist this week. Originally from Yogjakarta the artist works with different media such as illustration, performance, video and sound installations. Cooperations with local brands have brought Harem national and international attention and as we see it his future is bright. Combining political and sexual stigmas, setting them under a new and different perspective they become obsolete and ridiculous to the viewer. "Imagetanz festival" presents radical and playful performances of local but als international artists which often premiere their work for the first time here in vienna. For more then 20 years this unique festival provides artists with a public platform to present their work. This years festival host BRUT is proud to announce six coproductions, amoung them five of local austrian artists, and five guest performances among them three austrian premieres! For the first time this year the festival invited students from the university of fine arts to show their work during infront of a public audience. Performance : LIAISONS SANS LENDEMAIN, L'INTIMITÉ ET LE CONFORT  SS15 by MIMA by FABIO SILVA Through a series of personal situations in his own life and the life of people surrounding Silva. He felt  compelled to analyse the actions and emotions related to meeting someone and having casual sex with  that person.  "This lead to a nearly therapeutic process of knowing myself better and what I was aiming  with these random encounters." PORTABLE BODY - KNOWLEDGE By Sergio Valenzuela Valdés .  MA Art & Science.  Diploma exhibition.  June, Monday16th. 10.30 am.  Sala Terrena. The performance-installation explores the sharing of methods and tools as portable knowledge.  The main topics examined are body and text: each in relation to art and science, and also as a metaphor of the body as a book-object. The theoretical background at the core of the project is a dialogue between cognition, performance studies and body art .  The exhibition invites the audience to experience the body as a type of knowledge. Through scanning inscriptions on the artist’s skin the audience creates a collage of information, echoing the laboratory rituals of scientists extracting information from samples.  The printouts are portable, shareable and deliverable ‘body copies’ that can be read aloud, posted on a wall or left on the gallery floor.
