Mark & Julia
PERTUNGA SPRING/SUMMER 2014
„Required for having luck, is accepting others, the simplicity of the heart and the ability of your spirit to be in ore.“
A fabric which is not felt on your skin.
Like the summer breeze blowing through your hair on your way up a mountain trail.
Feeling the heat of the sun and wishing you wouldn’t be wearing any body covers at all.
Moving your limbs in the air but not feeling any cooling effect at all.
With their new collection for Spring/Summer 2014 Mark&Julia take you with them on a pilgrimage through the Himalaya.
Inspired by the Sherpa living in Tibet they present to you PERTUNGBA.
The Sherpa word for “Nacked“ defines how Designer Julia Rupertsberger and Mark S. Baigent see the next season.
Soft and seethrough materials made from natural fibres - combined with linen, cotton and mesh create “Wanderlust“ looks for the coming summer season.
Haarem pants and fitted tank-tops, long dresses held together with ropes and other loose and easy peaces of gold used to overcome mountains and other obstacles.
There will be delightful cooperations with two viennese artists. FlorianRottensteiner/ART will swap the canvas for a Mark&Julia blouson and beautify them with his paintings as a special edition. Jewelry designer Hannah Wagner aka CVD will complete the collection with her extraordinary body chains.
Mark&Julia invite you to put on your tracking shoes and be PERTUNGBA with them.
