Crossing Europe Filmfestival

Very sad that i cant be present at the festival it self, but the trailer for the 2012 CROSSING EUROPE FILMFESTIVAL looks very very promising!

The first two of a total of four opening films, Tribute guest Anca Damian (RO), the new program Special “IT’S ANIMATED!” and the new CROSSING EUROPE festival trailer SUB.
CROSSING EUROPE Film Festival Linz again dedicates its program in 2012 tocontemporary and socio-political auteur cinema from Europe and especially devotes itself to work by a young generation of directors, who will be awarded monetary and material prizes. On the six days of the festival from 24 to 29 April 2012, Festival Director Christine Dollhofer presents around 150 hand-picked European feature films, documentaries and short films, most of them as Austrian premieres.
A new record this year is the number of film entries – for both the European film sections and for the Local Artists program section, more films were entered than ever before. More than 900 productions were viewed, 200 of them just from local filmmakers (2011: 150).

What cought my eye was the AMAZING crazy costumes Siouxie Sioux was wearing - thank god for credits - the dress was by PAM HOGG . Back then as now i was completely fascinated and attracted to/by independent strong women who frankly just don't give a fuck. So the combination of Siouxie Sioux and Pam Hogg was almost to good to be true ;) About Pam: Pam Hogg studied at the Glasgow School of Art, where she won the Newbury Medal of Distinction, the Frank Warner Memorial Medal, the Leverhulme Scholarship and the Royal Society of Arts Bursary, which subsequently took her on to further study at the Royal College of Art in London, where she gained her Masters of Art degree. Pam Hogg’s first catwalk show was with the collective ”Hyper Hyper’ in 1985....
