ImageTanz Festival 2015

"Imagetanz festival" presents radical and playful performances of local but als international artists which often premiere their work for the first time here in vienna. For more then 20 years this unique festival provides artists with a public platform to present their work. This years festival host BRUT is proud to announce six coproductions, amoung them five of local austrian artists, and five guest performances among them three austrian premieres! For the first time this year the festival invited students from the university of fine arts to show their work during infront of a public audience. Alley eyes on...

...Bertil Nilssons and his impressions of nude dancers posing in nature using it as the perfect background to work with. Bertil who was born in sweden and now resides in London takes his inspiration from movement and the human form. He collaborates extensively with dancers and other performance artists. Using photography as main panel for expressing his ideas he also works with moving images. His first Photo-Book was published in 2011.  To this date he has exhibited globally including a solo show at  LA TOHU (Montreal) . His pictures give inspiration and motivation to move to its viewer. Whenever i look at the pictures i'm about to jump in a river myself. Truly inspiring and i am sure we will be hearing quite some more of Bertil. MB

30 years ImPuls Tanz Festival

ImPulsTanz – Vienna International Dance Festival celebrates its 30th year in 2013 and will dance its way through magnificent Viennese venues with a special anniversary edition.  From July 11 to August 11, Europeʼs biggest dance and performance festival presents international highlights, innovative works by young choreographers and remarkable new productions. As one of many highlights of the performance programme, dance-philosopher Jérôme Bel will show his latest creation: for “Disabled Theater“ the French choreographer works together with actors and actresses with disabilities from the Swiss Theater Hora. Besides Jérôme Bel, other French guests will be Compagnie Maguy Marin with her most recent production as well as Mathilde Monnier, director of Centre chorégraphique national de Montpellier Languedoc-Roussillon.
