Road trip to UBUD

So this is supposed to be the first of many to come articles about my life in Bali and about my daily life here. No worries i will never stop writing about Art or Film! just in case you wondered. My friend Mirjam from Vienna is currently visiting Bali and we decided to "do Ubud" together. The last time i was in Ubud was in February aka it was low season. So we didn't want to go anywhere without knowing what every middle age desperate housewife knows about Ubud - oh yes i am talking Julia Roberts - as preparation we watch "Eat Pray Love". People. Ubud is not like that. at all. Besides the fact that the movie itself is a HUGE bore  -   quote Mirjam:  "I want the wasted 2,5 hours of my life back please"  - and in my opinion sexist towards women (come on she stays because of him and her life makes sense again because she has a MAN in her life? sorry but that is BS). Don't get me wrong here, Ubud is nice but i prefer...

Sundays finest

So one thing i just really don't like doing is taking pictures of things i see or places i am at ;) i literally have to remind myself to do so over and over again. no idea why that is... Anyway, i had some amazing last days here in Bali because my friends from Austria  julia and christina came to visit me. Sadly they only stayed three days with me but we made the best of them and im sure it was not the last time they came for a visit ;) So christina is the complete opposite of me - she takes pictures all the time - so all picutres below are by her and they are pretty awesome! (her camera has WIFI! #wayofthefuture) having the girls here reminded me how much i do miss my old home, my dog, my apartment and and my friends! I'm really happy though that i have friends like them. all Picturres: Christina Haderer So Julia got a new job at a fair trade company named  EZA - based in salzburg EZA buys and distributes products from all over the world making sure they are...

Bali - my new home

Okay, so as you noticed i haven't been posting anything the last weeks. Different reasons and one of them was the move to my own little house here in Bali. I moved from the super hip Canggu to the edge of Dalung because "ggu" was just to busy for me. Here in Dalung im pretty much on my own what i find super because i am kind of forced to learn Bahasa Indonesia (Indonesian language). So i am starting to get used to the system here in bali - and im not sure you ever get used to it growing up in the western world. But i am sure Bali teaches you a lot. a lot of patience ;) So the other day i was at my house and realized it has been four weeks since the last time i have been to the beach. So i packed my things and off i went! Beachdays should always be a must in my weekly schedule. So i am also SUPER LAZY when it comes to taking pictures so i just simply don't take any. But on my way to the PERERENAN Beach i took some for this Blog. I will be sure from now on to take...

INDIA PART 5 - Goodbye

Sorry guys for the long wait! In Kuala lumpur my laptop decided to shut down and i was without all my data for some weeks. Thanks to my new technician here in Bali its up and running again! YAY So i was supposed to travel from Goa to Kerala on the 21st of december. Note to self and everyone - You can NOT plan anything in India. For some (higher) reason i simply forgot about my train. I think that that was a good thing due to too much relaxation n stuff ;) So i got to spend Christmas with my friends Paul and Rebecca! We dressed up all fancy and went out for dinner - so this means i dressed them and they looked all fancy ;) Rebecca and me infront of our local "supermarket" called "Infant Jesus". Infant Jesus is opend 24 hours (that means it closes at 9pm and opens about at 9am). They sell beauty products, cigarettes and booze - such a blessing ! Anygay - i was not able to get a train until the 26th. The Trainride was 18 (!!!!) hours. A...
