...this is the 8th time a high-end brand is teaming up with the giant swedish apparel producer H&M. There was a time when i myself went out to the pre-shoppings and did the standing in lines for the (one has to admit) better designed pieces which used to be exclusive to the chain. I some of pieces from the Margiela, Marni and Stella Mccartney collection, they are hanging in my wardrobe and since about one and a half years now i simply can not wear them anymore. What changed? My mindset and the way i consume changed. Since over two years i have not purchased anything from H & M. Which is a bit easier for me to do because i am able to make my own clothes. But that fact a side i also know that conscious and selected consummation of clothing is always better then a buy-throw-out concept. MATTHIAS KRENN. The austrian - up and coming interior designer - says "giving objects surrounding me the esprit and charme and the looks they are lacking" Krenn Studied "Sculpting" at the University of applied arts in Vienna. After he finished his studies he took part in several national but also international exhibitions in Portugal and the Czech Republic. Specially his piece "MMK Fermoir" which can be used as single couch-chair or as several elements combined to a full sitting area cam to my attention some time ago. Seeing objects in a non-traditional way and finding new interpretations for their use but specially creating new possibilities for their outer appearance so the observer is reminded that there are other views on elements we are so used to looking the same way since they were invented. ... ARTHUR ARBESSER i got to know Arthur - the energetic austrian fashion designer - last year together with Julia at the CAPSULE Tradeshow during Paris fashionweek. He was part of an italian showroom exhibiting there. They were all really unfriendly (except at the last day, i guess it was a cultural thing - i don't do cultural things) thats why it took a bit till Arthur -always being a bit shy- had the courage to walk over and talk to me. But the reason was another -he had seen pictures of me and his great friends Stefanie Herkner (she owns this fabulous little austrian restaurant which i will tell you more about next week!
